Just Finished Pokemon Glazed. Looking for something similar

I just beat Pokemon Glazed v7 in the span of 2 days and I'm looking for something just as polished gameplay-wise (solid story/writing is optional but not godawful please).

The author of Blazed Glazed, Tudou played Pokemon Glazed for several times but later he finds out that there’s something needs to improve the game.New moves are added from the newer Pokemon generations and added more and more features later on. Pokemon Blazed Glazed is an improved version of Pokemon Glazed with some noticeable difference.

I thought early game in Glazed was insanely hard but by the time I grinded enough for the first 2 badges I got overleveled for the rest of the game because exp becomes easier to get. (I know there's Blazed Glazed)

I'm looking for something challenging with a good difficulty curve; not dumb grind challenging. I thought Glazed had a bunch of interesting mechanics and features and want a game that spices things up as well. Preferably gen 3 hacks but any gen is fine but no hackmons. Any input is appreciated.
